The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare

Whilst working with Charcoalblue LLP, Flip collaborated with Adrian Smith & Gordon Gill Architecture as the lead for seating systems, demountable platforms and the technical equipment. The project is designed as one of the most flexible venues providing a proscenium, thrust, traverse and in the round formats. This is achieved by 9 seating towers that can configure to 12 formats providing a capacity ranging from 150 to 850. This project is heralded as one of the most flexible venues in the world yet still providing a wonderful intimacy between audience and artists.
